Mextent is a short name for a small habit: don’t publish the whole map. Publish the part that changes the bill, the bus, or the drain.
It is for people who have a quarter, a lot in town, or a shop on Main, and who have learned that “the municipality” is not one office. You pay one government. The school board is another. The watershed district is a third. They do not share a map, and they do not share a phone number.

National politics for its own sake. Lifestyle. A hot take on the premier. Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, and Edmonton except when they move a line that follows you home — a health region, a school division, a grant formula.
The name
Short for minimal extent. Say it em-EXTENT if you say it at all. If “Mextent” sounds like a camping brand, ignore the name and read the mill-rate note.
What this is not
Not AMM, SARM, or RMA. Not the government. Not a replacement for the clerk or for the weekly paper that still sends someone to council. If we use someone else’s work, their name stays on the page.
